Reviews

If you enjoy a good Regency romance with characters that will pull on your heart strings and a plot that is different than so many historical romances, then you will enjoy The Ideal Countess as much as I did. I’m amazed by the talent in this debut novel and will be looking for more books by Katherine Grant. Happy reading!

The Ideal Countess is a stunning regency debut, with strong-willed characters that set their sights with determined precision. Of the cast of characters, Hugh was the most delightful, with his passion for knowledge and invention. He is the best kind of hero in a romance: determined, passionate and unyielding with his love. Though he and Alice may struggle to get on the same page, the ups and downs and tugs at your heartstrings are well worth the satisfying ending, leaving you with no doubt that these two were better suited for each other than anyone else.

This story is a masterpiece at developing the main character from a naive debutant to a mature, self-aware woman. This is one of those books that I highly recommend reading in one sitting. I loved being able to lose myself in the story.
